We do not require account creation to use EquiBrief. If you contact us via email, we collect the information you voluntarily provide, such as your name and email address.

Automatically Collected Information

When you use the app, we may automatically collect:

• Device information: Device type, operating system version, and unique device identifiers
• Usage data: Pages viewed, features accessed, and time spent in the app
• Crash reports: Technical data related to app crashes or errors, used solely for debugging and improving stability

We do not collect precise location data, contacts, photos, or other sensitive device information.

2. Push Notifications

EquiBrief may offer push notifications for breaking racing news and updates. Push notifications are entirely optional and require your explicit permission. You can enable or disable push notifications at any time through your device settings. We use Apple Push Notification service (APNs) to deliver notifications. No personal data is shared with third parties through this service beyond what is required by Apple's notification infrastructure.

3. AI-Generated Content

EquiBrief uses artificial intelligence to generate news summaries. The AI processes publicly available news articles to create concise summaries. No personal user data is used in the AI summarization process. AI-generated summaries are not a substitute for the original articles. Original article content belongs to the respective publishers.

4. Third-Party Infrastructure

We use the following third-party services to operate EquiBrief:

• Apple (App Store, APNs): For app distribution and push notifications, subject to Apple's Privacy Policy
• Google (Play Store, Firebase Push Notifications): For app distribution and push notifications, subject to Google's Privacy Policy
• Cloud hosting providers: For serving app content and API requests

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for their marketing purposes.

5. Data Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the information we handle. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Children's Privacy

EquiBrief is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete that information.
